STI Assessment Posted: 13 Apr 2015 11:54 AM |
Good Afternoon. Love the ultrasound physician sign off form. Makes it much easier and quicker to get the charts signed off by the physician as well as reduces the risk of paperwork being misplaced in transit to and from the medical director. Is there any chance the STI Assessment Form will go "green" so the doctor can sign off just as with the US? Thanks. |

Hi Amanda,
Thank you for taking the time to share your encouragement and feedback with us. It is great to hear the physician sign-off for ultrasounds is working so well for you and your center. It is our understanding that physicians are not required to sign-off on the STI tests from the centers we have spoke to. Is this required in your state or a policy your center prefers to ensure the physician is aware of all medical procedures?
Blessings,
Ashleigh |

Hey Ashleigh. As far as state level goes, I am not sure. I do know it is a requirement for our center. |

Hi Amanda,
Thank you for getting back to me, currently we do not have STD physician sign-off on the docket for a future release as it is not a requirement, however we are always open to feedback. I will be sure to detail your feedback to our feature request list to be considered for future updates and inform you of any updates or discussions regarding it. I hope you have a GREAT day!
Blessings,
Ashleigh |

I am following this as well. We are in the development stages for implementing STI testing. We do have it in our policy for the physician to review treatment and sign off the standing order for each patient treated. We would like for our physicians to be able to review the STI tab and sign off there as they are allowed to on the Sonogram physician sign-off. Please let us know if this feature becomes available in the future. |

Hello AmandaH,
As of today this feature is not available or in the works as to our understanding it is a preference of the Medical Director and PMC, not a HIPAA/federal/state requirement. However if you have additional information of a specific state/federal law we would love to research this further.
As of today what you are able to do is have the physician go to the client's record, open the STD Test Form and review, when they are done reviewing you are able to have them check "unlocked" in the lower left corner of the form, this will lock the form and time/date stamp along with the staff/volunteer name serving as a signature. If you'd like to talk through process further give your Account Manager a call, we'd love to walk you through it!
Blessings,
Ashleigh Guilmette
