The tab key is not functional on this popup. IE permits you to tab through the fields

FF - 18.0.1
Windows - XP , SP2

Hi Keith,

Thank you for posting your feedback. I have Windows 7 with FireFox 18.0.2 which is the most up to date version and have tested tabbing through on the Case Form and cannot duplicate the problem. Can you provide me step by step instructions on how to duplicate the problem?

For example:
When trying to use the tab key in the Case Form nothing happens

Steps to Reproduce
1.Open Firefox
2 login to CenterPiece
3 click on Client MAnagement
4 open a client file
5 open a case form--try to utilize tab key-- nothing happens

so that when we are testing we can follow the exact same steps as you.

Again I have tested this and it does work, you need to click the tab key a few times before it gets to date OR you can put your cursor in the date field and tab from there. Does that make sense?

Blessings,
Ashleigh

I have determined that the TAB does work...but the field highlite is almost non-detectable so one cannot see which field it is on.

I am BETA testing which I am reporting.

I can see the TAB field in IE, I cannot detect it on Firefox.

If you can see it, tell me what to do to make the field more visible, please.

Sorry to bug you - but do you have a response to my last question?

I looked VERY CLOSELY at the field items.

In IE, the entire field, the word, is contained in a box as an outline that uses dots making it easy to see.

In Firefox, the field is NOT contained in a box but the field selection box (that's what I call it) has a vertical bar and appears as a flashing cursor bar in front of the selection box and the selection box is changed to be a box of dots instead of a solid line which is not immediately detectible. I was expecting to see the same view as I do in IE.

Now that I know what to expect, I can accept it - but new users are going to be seeing the same view. It really should be the same as IE, don't you think. If it is easier to change, make the IE view the same as Firefox which will make the transition easier for users.

Hello team.....................

I just tried Firefox 18.0.2 on Windows 7 and it is totally unacceptable. I will not attempt to explain. We will have to have another phone conversation.

I also tried Chrome '23.0.1271.97 m' and It has the same problems......possibly worse.

The TAB key will not HIGHLIGHT the fields sufficiently to detect which field you are on.

IE 9 functions well --- the same as always.

Hi keithf,

Thanks for all the feedback. We sure appreciate it. But please remember that we are currently in Beta testing and you may come across some small gitches. You agreed to particiate in the Beta to help us find the glitches. If you find an issue that is "unacceptable" please revert back to IE until we have a chance to address it and provide a fix.

After reviewing this thread, we will need addtional information to repro the issue. As of now it's not clear what the issue is and how to reproduce it. Please note, if you are not willing to document the steps to reproduce we proboably won't be able to help you. Thanks.

Please do not get upset with me. I know my obligation to the BETA test.

My update on 2/7 describes the error. I should not have to reiterate the failure steps. That update is with XP and Firefox 18.0.2. I will report issues that you need to focus some attention on. The TAB field does not provide a recognized visible identity. I can't tell where I am in the record.

My previous update identifies the software releases and the 'SAME' error only worse on WIN7. If you want to know the difference, I am available by Phone. Words do not justify what one sees and it is very detailed.

Ashleigh has already told me that you cannot reproduce the issue. You need to talk with me to continue with this.

I am aware that I can fall back to IE to do my data entry. I want to help you develop this interface.

Let's level set.....

I have software experience. I worked with IBM for 35 years in onsite and remote service and development of large system software products. I understand what you are going through. Since I was in service on the service end, I understand how I must interface with you from the customer end. That is the reason I requested a phone call.

When I could not identify customer issues, I had to go onsite at times to resolve. We don't have to do that here but we need to communicate by the best method possible. If you want to use Remote Desktop Connection, I am willing to help you better. That will have to be scheduled for the best time.

Hi keithf,

I'm not upset with you at all. Again, I want to thank you for all the feedback. I was concerned you were upset based on the "unacceptable" comment in your last post and just wanted to set expectations re: the beta. I'm also not questioning your qualifications.

Let's take this offline. Someone from my team will try and sync up with you next week. Have a great weekend and we will talk to you soon. Thanks.
