November 2012 Update - Donor Receipts

| Since the Nov 2012 update, the letters I put in "Donor Receipts" are being formated as one paragraph. I am also having trouble entering the closing of the letter. I did not use the signature block in the previous updates because our ED signs each receipt. I tried to enter the closing that way, but it is not showing up that way either. |

Hi Stewart526,
I am sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulty with the letter editor. You can add spacing in a letter. If you hit enter it will create a double space, if you hit shift + enter this will create a single space. Currently the logo/signature insert is not compatible with the Batch Receipts Report. | The enter key did enter a double space, but it did not stay that way when I saved it. However, the shift+enter done twice did create a double space that saved. Thanks, Melinda |

Hi stewart526,
As Ashleigh mentioned, the Enter key should basically create a new paragraph (enter a double space). Let us know if you need further assistance or if that is not working and we can take a look at it with you.

| As mentioned in my earlier post (after reading Ashleigh's reply), the "enter" did create a new paragraph, but did not save that way. So...it is not working. However, I was able to create a new paragraph by using "shift & enter" twice. |

I am glad you were able to save it with shift+enter. Did you, by any chance, copy/paste from MS Word into the letter editor? When copy and then pasted into the letter editor from an outside source it brings formatting with it that hte letter editor does not recognize. It can cause issues like you mentioned. If you need further assistance please let us know.
