Quickbooks connector

After running the QB connector, when I'm ready to enter deposits in my QB -- first I go to make deposits and then click the "payments" icon -- at that point I can see the donations that have been posted from eK -- my question is: why doesn't the "payment method" I entered in eKyros (check or credit card type) map to the payment method spot shown in QB? It would be helpful to know (esp. credit card donations) as then I can better track donations that have posted to our bank account and can find any that might get "lost" or have a chargeback.

Annh-
You are correct, currently the connector does NOT specifically post the payment method, however it does record if there is a value in the "Check Number" field. Once you post a deposit into QuickBooks you do have the option to go back and edit the "Payment Method" field." How does your center utilize this information?

| It is helpful for us as we track when/what donations are posted into our bank account -- to differentiate between the AMEX donations and others as they go in separately -- also at some of our events, registration is online and through credit cards and then those same people might pay by check for items at the auction and that helps us sort things out. It is usually not a huge issue except when something doesn't add up and we need to backtrack and find where something has fallen through the cracks... not often, thankfully ! |
