1.Event Date - Donor Management
Posted by swhitehurst on 2/21/2005 2:33:04 PM
When recording donations, there is an option to choose an "event." With many of our "events" when individuals donate money, we have no specific date. As with many pregnancy centers, we hold Baby Bottle Campaigns throughout the year. These campaigns rarely have start or stop dates. Within the donation registration form, the program will not allow you to move forward without a date. Affixing a miscellaneous date with everything would get very confusing. Would it be possible to ...

Okay, here is the series that I follow to create a new event. Activity>donation form. Within Event (when needing to create another event) I click on Edit List/Add New Item. There are two questions that must be answered to proced: date of event and description. My question was could I bypass entering in the date of the event.

Thanks!

Absolutely. I actually did that with this year's banquet (even though I affixed a date with it). I did like you said...I called it Banquet 2005. For Baby Bottle Campaigns, I could describe them as Winter, Spring, etc. As I understand it, you can print reports by Event or by Date, correct? So this would work well. Good deal..thank you thank you! S
4.Middle Name

Today, for the first time, I have 2 clients with the same first and last name and the same middle initial. Could you expand the field for middle name to include more spaces to include the entire name?

Thanks, Brian!

5.Men v. Women search

Is there a way to search for male clients v. female clients? We have just begun our men's ministry, and I like to share how many men are enrolled in the program in our monthly newsletter.

Thanks!

I noticed the same thing - it looks like questions #10 through #19 are missing. This information includes: drug/alcohol use, stress, pregnancy due to rape, pregnancy intentions, partner information and hypothesized involvement.

Thanks for looking into it :)

7.Initial Visit Form information vs. Case Form
Posted by swhitehurst on 2/15/2006 10:43:39 AM
Understanding the purpose of the Case Form, there are some things on the Initial Visit that I wonder might be better on the Case Form. As I was updating information on a young client yesterday, I noticed that some of those items on the Initial Visit she entered one way a year ago, she is entering an entirely different way this time.

E.g. living arrangements, outside help, victim of abuse.

Most items on the Initial Visit form are constant, unchanging. The above ...
8.Initial Visit location view
Posted by swhitehurst on 2/15/2006 10:47:45 AM
When the Initial Visit form is displayed on the "All Forms" portion of the the Activity view, location is coming up as "Unknown." For us, we just have one center so that's no big deal.

Thanks!

9.Cigarette Smoker
Posted by swhitehurst on 2/15/2006 10:35:28 AM
Ques. #11 reads "Are you a cigarette smoker?"

Nearly 90 percent of the time, our volunteer counselors write some sort of comment over the the right of this question. Either, "Just quit yesterday," or "will try to quit because of pregnancy," or "is having a hard time quitting even though she is pregnant." To me, this is very helpful information to be entered into the computer to be saved. Like in questions #7-10 and others, could we add a ...
10.Block Title Color
Posted by swhitehurst on 2/7/2006 2:02:46 PM
Brian/Carlye -

This is such a petty request regarding the color of the block title on the office forms. For some reason, when the gray runs through our printer, it comes out very splotchy. Is there any way to turn that block black instead of gray? Or, could you tell me how to change that color on my own. I couldn't make it work in Word - it wouldn't allow me to change the color.

Thanks!!

12.Cigarette Smoker - PG Test Form
Posted by swhitehurst on 1/6/2006 11:20:31 AM
Brian -

Happy New Year! I'm excited about all the new things going on at EKYROS!!

I have a question for you regarding Question #11 on the PG Test Form reading," Are you a cigarette smoker?" Would it be possible to add a blank there (on the online form) for us to write additional information? I would say 90 percent of our clients are cigarette smokers and the other 10 "just quit." I think it would be helpful to know all of that ...
13.Re: Christian Status
Posted by swhitehurst on 11/11/2005 10:04:55 AM
Maybe the Initial assessment can still remain on the hard copy initial visit form. I was wondering if you could add an electronic form for "Christian Status." What incredible statistics to track the spiritual growth over the weeks,months...or years...

Maybe an additional hard copy form for Christian Status could look similar to the Pregnancy History form.

Thanks, Brian!

14.Christian Status

We just had the greatest thing happen...a girl rededicated her life to Christ during a pregnancy retest!! She spoke with our RN counselor who did her test, and rededicated her life. During the initial visit, she was listed as "not a believer" by our volunteer.

In this situation, I know that what can be done is that you can change information on their initial visit form to show this update. But, there are now two different volunteers involved ...
15.Pregnancy History - child's whereabouts
Posted by swhitehurst on 11/11/2005 3:38:20 PM
Brian -

A client file recently peaked my interest into the information recorded into the "Pregnancy History" portion of the Client File. She has had 10 pregnancies; 1 child in the custody of someone else, 1 death, multiple adoptions and miscarriages (that can be registered) and 1 child that has been removed by DCF.

To me, this information is incredibly imporant to those counseling with her. If we loose the paper trail, the computer is the most ...
16.Statistics

In the Client Activity report in the Statistics Option, it shows all numbers for the center. I'm finding that some of my numbers don't match up -

You now have an option for a Class Attendance form on its own. Within the Client Actity form, the numbers for Class Attendance is much higher than the report within the basic Class Attendance report.

Could you explain the difference between the ways the data is shown? I may just be ...

18.New Referral Form

Brian -

I am giddy over the prospect of the new referral form (it doesn't take much for me :). I just wanted to make sure; this is a form for clients we refer to other agencies, correct? Will this information, by any chance, be shown in statistics under the client activity section?

Thanks!!

21.Re: Due Date/ Date of Last Period
Posted by swhitehurst on 8/10/2005 1:35:19 PM
Oh, I completely realize that. Some day of first periods, though, are complete shots in the dark. It could be a matter of months difference depending on their birth control.

If a button isn't needed, we'll just consider all approximates...

22.Due Date/ Date of Last Period
Posted by swhitehurst on 8/10/2005 10:06:28 AM
Brian -

Would it be possible to add a buttom to give approximate due date and date of last period. Some women guess on their date of last period which, in turn, makes us guess on their due date. If we could have a button that marked it as approximate, that would be very beneficial.

Let me know what you think...

23.Re: Russian
Posted by swhitehurst on 8/5/2005 4:52:35 PM
I'm not sure that I answered this post (it got a little crazy around here this past month).

So, are we saying that adding Russian is/is not an okay idea? I'm not sure that I understand why it couldn't be beneficial for us to track the information and Tmaik to just lump Russian stats with the "white/caucasian" category? So, yes, to answer your question, I could like a Russian category for "Race." The numbers of that population would be beneficial ...

25.Re: Russian

Brian,

I personally need the information because a large amount of Russians are living in the Panama City area. We are not required to fill our forms for government or schools, but we need that information to target that population.
