On the case visit form--- does new refer to new for this specific case or new as in new client and return refer to previous client or return visit for this specific case?

Thanks and the update is AWESOME!!!

Hi Georgia,

On the Case Visit Form, the question asking "Type of Visit" is referring to whether this client's visit is new or whether this visit is a return (repeat) visit.

You can actually use this in a couple ways. I've talked with different centers that are choosing to track their visits differently. Here are 2 scenarios that I've heard from different customers :

1) On a client's very first visit to your center you mark the "type of visit" field as "new." Then for every other subsequent visit she has at your center, regardless of the case, you will then mark the "type of visit" field as "return."

2) On a client's very first visit to your center you mark the "type of visit" field as "new." For every other visit related to that case, you mark the client's visit as "return." Then, when a client returns for a 2nd case (another pregnancy, post-abortion help, etc.) they mark her "type of visit" as "new" as another way of marking the beginning of a new case.

Either one of these options is fine, you will just need to decide how your center prefers to track this information. Once you have decided how you want to trach client visits over time, I would recommend that you are consistent with all clients.

Let me know if you need any additional help with this, Georgia.

Blessings to you!
