Donor Management Report Summaries

Hi Brian,
Sorry looks as if you and I will be getting well known over the next few weeks :)
I am wanting to run a report with a total giving for a specific time. I can only see where when I run the report I get a list of everyone's name, address, giving and so on but no total at the end. I would like just a summary with the total giving i.e. When I enter a weeks worth of giving I would like just a summary of the total amount and what events its tied to, to verify that against my quickbooks deposit for that week in other words if my deposit is $4100.00 I would like a summary that says Jan 20-30 05 total giving $4100.00. Is that already available or can it be added? This is something I need to be able to print out and attach to the deposit and check copies and its looking like right now I would have to print 4 pages with everyones pesonal info and there is no total at the end.

Hi Tracy,
In a future version, we will be adding a Donations statistics report that will show donation totals by event and by month. You will also be able to drill down on the monthly totals to view donor details. Drill down will work similar to the statistics in Client Management. Does this sound like it is what you need?
For now, try exporting the results from the Donations report to excel and sum on the amount column to get a total for the period you specified.

Hi Brian,
I need a break down by date not month. Say I enter donations 4-1 thru 4-8 then I do a deposit on 4-8 what I would like to do is go into the summary and put in those dates and get the total to make sure that it adds up to my QB deposit. It's just another way of tracking to make sure that everything that came in was added into here and not skipped over and just added into the QB deposit.
The way we enter donations thru our center is the first time they are opened and checked by 2 people then entered on a sheet of paper and initialed by both people then I enter them in here and then once a week I do a bank deposit so at the end of the week you can see that paper #1 is the same as donations entered here and both of those are the same as my deposit. I know it seems like alot of entering but we have an annual audit done and they felt this was the safest way to make sure all donations are accounted for since there is alot of cash coming through the center.
I take paper 1 and a copy of the deposit and staple it all together I would like to print a copy from here as well showing the weekly summary so that in an aduit they can see that all 3 papers are the same.

we will look into enhancing the statistics so you can "drill-down" on the month column in the statistics to view the weekly and daily totals. i can't commit on a release date, by just want you to know it is something we are working on.

I am new to eKyros, and had this same issue. Did you ever add the Donations Statistic Report that will allow me to set a date range to enable me to match my donations? I can't see to find it, and could really use this feature.

I was unable to get a report from Statistics, or can find anywhere I can get a report to match my daily or weekly deposits. I am usually not this dense.

Hi Pam,
It's great to hear from you, thank you for taking the time to reach out. Do you currently utilize the "Deposit Number" field on the Donation form so you are able to group or see which donations go to which deposits?
A great report to run would be the Donations by Designation Report which allows you to pull by a date range and see a total. Another option within this report is to pull by Deposit Number so you are able to see all donations for JUST that deposit.

Thank you for the quick reply Ashleigh!. I haven't used a Deposit Number in the past. I spent this week shoving deposits from Jan-last week into the system, just checking the totals visually as I went. Today I was actually "going live" and started looking for reports.
I will start using Deposit Numbers starting in July. That ought to make things easier. I appreciate your help!
