Is there a faster way to change the day on the Resource page, rather than clicking the right or left arrows? Thanks!

Hi Amanda,

I'm not sure how much faster it can get. Are you skipping days? Like jumping from a monday to a friday? If not, how is it slow?

I would like to be able to skip over days. For example:

We had a client come in today (18th) and needs to schedule her next appointment on the 30th. This is common for pregnancy support clients. So I have to click on the right arrow about 12 times to reach the 30th. If there is a way to jump over days, please let me know. Just so that we can schedule the appt. in a timely manner and not have to make the client wait so long.

Thanks,
Amanda

Hi Amanda,

The best way to jump dates is driving it through the appointment book (versus the edit form).

1) In the appointment book, click on the 30th using the small calender on the right. the 30th will be displayed in the appointment book list (along with all appointments scheduled for that day).

2) then, instead of clicking on the add new appointment link (which always defaults to the current day), click on the date header "Tuesday, March 30, 2004" link in the appointment book list. the new appointment form will open defaulting to that date.

Give that a try and let me know what you think. If that still doesn't work for you, i'm open to any suggestions on how you would like it to work.

More tips:

What's really nice is viewing appointments by week. that way you can click on any date in the list for that current week being displayed. to change weeks, in the appointment book, click the >> arrows just to the left of the Sunday column of the small calendar. then you can click on any date header in the list to add a new appointment -- and defaulting to the date.

Hi Amanda,

After thinking about this a little more, we went a head and added the ability to sync the resource date with the appointment date in the appointment form.

Here's how it will work:

When editing an appointment, if you change the appointment date, and click Refresh under the resource tab, the resource date will change to the date of the appointment. This will allow you to easily "jump" days.

Recommendations:

I do encourage you to take a look at the driving appointments using the appointment book though. By moving to the date in the appointment book, you automatically see the items already scheduled for the day, and that should help you determine the next available time for new appointment(s).

Availability:

This update will be included in the next release of CenterPiece which will be released Sunday night with availablilty on monday morning 3/22.

thanks for your patience on this one.
