1.Re: New Microsoft Update
Posted by tmaikk on 11/14/2006 2:51:25 PM

I had downloaded IE7 on my computer and then found out that our own webmail was not compatible and I neither are some government secure websites. I guess some of them have been slower to get things in line with that. I had to uninstall IE7. That was just a couple weeks ago,--thought i would let you know, just in case any others have problems once they download IE7.

I have checked the donor section of Ekyros, to see how we can keep a record of material donations and the value of each of them. I'm not finding that in the donor manual--but maybe I missed it. Can you help me?
It would be helpful to have a list, as we do in our closets, that we could select items and enter the value of the donation (Not the value for the donor's tax records but the value it is for us) Our CPA says that we need to keep track, because it represents a large ...
4.abstinence commitment
Posted by tmaikk on 10/17/2006 2:06:15 PM
Brian,
On the case form, for the question about abstinence commitment, could we have a choice of N/A (not applicable) for our married clients? That way when i look at the report, I can see that it is appropriate for a particular client to not have made a comittment, as opposed to thinking that my staff isn't getting enough information or talking about it when needed.
5.Re: re: questions about education level
Posted by tmaikk on 10/17/2006 7:10:12 AM
Brian,
In a couple of our centers we are seeing a lot of clients who are immigrants (mostly illegal) and many of them have not been educated at all. Could you add Elementary School and NONE to the drop down list for highest level of education completed? That would give us a more accurate picture than the choice of unknown which is what we have to use at this time.
6.re: questions on the Initial visit form
Posted by tmaikk on 2/9/2005 10:51:49 AM
I am wondering how clients respond to all the questions regarding income, education level, parent's marital status etc. Are these questions that most centers using centerpiece are using on their intake forms? Is there any sense of these questions being more than information than clients need to give us?
7.Re: re: questions on the Initial visit form
Posted by tmaikk on 2/9/2005 2:29:18 PM
How has the response been from clients and from centers who have never used these questions before?
Does anyone use a disclaimer to let clients know that they don't have to fill it out if they feel uncomfortable telling us that?
8.Re: marital status - for deceased
Posted by tmaikk on 10/17/2006 6:59:02 AM
Brian,
I agree with this and our directors have been asking about it. We have had it several times, that the client does say both parents are deceased. Any thoughts about adding that?
9.Focus on the Family Report
Posted by tmaikk on 8/21/2006 5:01:47 PM
When we file a report for FOTF, often we don't have a client's final decision. Say in June, she was abortion minded. In July we run the report and she still is abortion minded or undecided, If she changes her mind in August or September, and decides to parent, when will that statistic come through in the Focus report?
10.re: changed minds
Posted by tmaikk on 6/20/2006 1:44:37 PM
If a client comes in abortion minded, leaves abortion minded and then a year later, comes in reporting a changed mind, Where all do we record that information? Pregnancy test outcome, case form?, and pregnancy test or sonogram? Where will the changed mind statistic come from? If I find out today that a client changed her mind 9 months ago- the statistics have already been run, and recorded. Will that information be reflected in the statistics from this month, since that is when it was ...

The problem that I see if I record it at the case level is that I can't run a stat for that that shows if it is a changed mind, it only shows the final outcome. There doesn't seem to be a place for us to enter the data and get what we need, seeing that it is very often that we find out about changed minds weeks, or months later. I am concerned that our changed minds aren't showing up. Is there something that I am not seeing?

Will that then be reflected in the current months statistics ?
14.Re: re: changed minds
Posted by tmaikk on 6/22/2006 10:21:43 AM
This brings up another question. If the client comes in abortion minded, leaves abortion minded, then 6 months later comes in and had the baby. I change it in the pregnancy test form, and update the case level. how will i know when she made the decision if I go into her file later? Will that be dependent on my notes? It will look like she made the decision leaving the office, but that may not have been what happened. Does it matter?
15.re: mailing labels
Posted by tmaikk on 3/30/2005 2:06:06 PM
We would like to send a mailing to all of the positive test clients who have been to the center this year to invite them to our parenting classes. I need the report to be by center location, so that each location will only send notices to their clients. Is there a way to do that?

16.Re: Reporting Concepts Shared
Posted by tmaikk on 11/9/2005 11:14:04 AM
Brian,
I am very interested in this also. I would like to be able to pull a report from all the data on the concepts shared page. For instance, this morning, my ED asked me how many Bibles we give away in a year. For us that is listed under literature and I find no way to pull that information from any of the reports or statistics. I had to go back to our 2004 statistics from our old program, which listed that in every monthly report. I would like to also be able to quantities of ...
17.Concepts Shared Report
Posted by tmaikk on 11/10/2005 11:02:00 AM
Brian,

I have copied and pasted a conversation that started in the support discussion area. I noticed that you have not responded, so thought maybe it needed to get on the feature requests.

Hi. Is there a way to report from the Concepts Shared fields? Example: I need to know how many/which clients were spoken to about our Post Abortion Ministry which is listed as a topic in our Concepts Shared Form. Is there a way to pull that in reports or statistics?
18.Re: Russian
Posted by tmaikk on 7/15/2005 1:37:18 PM
Brian,

Do we want to start adding all the different countries of origin? When I fill out demographic forms for the government or schools, they don't separate all countries of origin, a Russian would be white or caucasion. I think this will create a problem with all the possibilities.
19.abortion minded report
Posted by tmaikk on 7/15/2005 1:45:50 PM
Brian,

I have been in conversation with Carlye regardingbeing able to run a report of the clients who had a positive pregnancy test and they are still abortion minded. The current statistics section doesn't work, because there arent' enough columns. the filter criteria for this report needs to be: test result, location, staff/volunteer. outcome, intentions after support. If we could have intentions before support too, that would be great!
The last ...
20.Mailing list for class attendees
Posted by tmaikk on 7/15/2005 1:54:18 PM
Brian,
Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think we currently have a way to send a mailing to clients that are positive and we would like to send a parenting or Post abortion class invitation.

One way we have thought of doing so is to add to our categories: English Parenting Class, Spanish parenting class, Abstinence club etc.
Do you see a better way for us to do this?

21.re: staff management mailing lists
Posted by tmaikk on 5/19/2005 11:10:56 AM
When running a report for staff mailing lists we need to be able to sort by location, since a director at a location may have an in-service or event and she would want to send the notices only to her staff. Currently, you allow us to sort by marital status, birthday, gender, religion and category. It would be helpful to offer the choice of job title so we could create a list by title.

We would also like to be able to record in the staff record if the staff is "Paid ...
22.re: intentions after counsel
Posted by tmaikk on 4/11/2005 11:43:22 PM
On the pregnanyc test form, I am unsure how to respond with a particular client. The client came to the center undecided, and definitely abortion vulnerable. After counseling however, the client decided to carry to term. however, she was still undecided about whether or not she would parent or make an adoption plan. On both the pregnancy test and the sonogram forms, our only choice for carry to term is parent. There doesn't seem to be a selection for a client who has chosen to carry ...
23.Re: PACE clients
Posted by tmaikk on 4/13/2005 8:52:13 PM
PACE is our 10 week post abortion Bible Study, that is attended largely by new volunteers, as well as people that hear about it in our churches. A small number of actual clients go to the Bible study. We offer it to men and women, though in separate groups and led by members of the same sex.
24.Re: PACE clients

Can you think of another way to track PACE participants? Like I said, most of our PACE participants are not clients who will be in the system. They will not have a file.

We also are tracking participants in the schools who have attended our BE the one Clubs, and none of these participants are clients or have ever gone to the center for anything. This club is an abstinence support club in schools and other organizations.

We also need to track church and ...

In regard to the PACE clients, we can do that.

Did you have any suggestions in regard to the abstinence clubs? Would you do them the same way?

How about tracking large group presentations where we don' t have the names of every person in the group. We still need to track how many presentations, and how many in the group. How would you do that?
